Going to Israel

My beautiful wife Jackie and I are going to Israel June 5-15. The wonderful Concord Rd. family is sending us. We are going with Dan and Leola Chambers and will see most of the wonderful sites of the Holy Land.
I had always wanted to go but expected that such a trip would come at retirement rather than at this point in my life. I am looking forward to the trip and have been studying the geography of Palestine more intently than ever.
Our trip includes: Joppa, Caesarea, Megiddo, Nazareth, Mount Carmel, Mount Tabor, Sea of Galilee, Tiberias, Capernaum, Bethsaida, Chorazin, the Mount of Beatitudes, Kursi, the Jordan River, Beth-Shan, Dead Sea, Qumran, Masada, Ein Gedi, Jerusalem, Mount of Olives, Gethsemane, Pool of Bethesda, Golgotha, Western Wall, Pool of Siloam, Bethlehem, Valley of Elah, Plain of Sorek, Beth-Shemesh, and will end at the Garden Tomb.
Walking in some of the places Jesus walked will be a great blessing. Seeing perhaps some olive trees He actually saw will be very meaningful.
I expect to take a good number of pictures that I will share when I return. I am getting my camera ready to take as many as I can.
I thank God for the opportunity. Jackie and I have made eight trips overseas separately; this will be our first trip together to a foreign land--after 32 years no less! Jackie celebrated our 32 anniversary last week.

Please keep us in your prayers.

in Christian love,
phil

Simply awesome! I am so glad that you are able to make this trip. I look forward to hearing about it and seeing the pictures.

32 years... that does not seem possable. Seems just yesterday I was there when your first born came into this world. Congradulations.
