My moderating policy

My blog was begun to express my views and beliefs. It is not a public blog, where I allow anyone to trash me or to express views that are unkind or unscriptural. Tacky comments are unwelcome and show the person who wrote them unfavorably. I choose not to include many of them. While I allow some anonymous posting, I will leave other, unfavorable anonymous posts in cyberspace. I sign my name to my posts.

Oddly enough as I comment on your blog, I no longer allow any comments on mine. Not because of what they said about me but what they said about Christ and His church.

This is the nature of a blog. If you allow comments you run the risk of some of those being disagreeable. All do not agree on every point. It is rare that I do not post a comment on my blog but occasionally they are so nasty we have no other choice. Since this is a private blog you have the choice. Although I do not agree with some of your conclusions I enjoy your thoughts and we will remain brethren. Thanks for your efforts.

It’s funny you posted this because I just dealt with this same accusation on my blog. It’s MY BLOG! And I can choose to only post whatever I want just like anyone else can on their blog. Because I rarely post anonymous comments I get all kinds of nasty accusations and judgments about my intent and heart. It’s amazing when you have a blog with the address having your name in it and people want to argue about not posting anonymous comments. Just be honest about who you are; is that really too much to ask?

I can feel with you. Some times the comments, I am not sure I really like those things, but I typically like reading what people think. For the most part though, most people have always been kind on my blog. There has been some disagreement, but most good stuff. Sometimes, I wonder about the comments, what other people think, because I do not always agree, with them. but I want people to have a voice. I have only deleted one comment so far, not including all the spam I get. Hey, I have a book I written that I want published, do you have any advice.

The rude ones designed to provoke anger do keep things interesting :)

My blog has not become popular enough yet for people to post anything. Maybe I am not controversial enough. I need to be more like you Phil....or at least Caleb JK

Phil,

i hope my last comment in your other thread about similarities between IM and our singing didn't offend. i meant no ill at all. i find it an interesting topic, and i've spoken with you before a few years ago in Columbus, OH, and know you have a keen mind that could offer some meaty thoughts on the subject.
